Indian Police are the biggest terrorists on earth. They torture, threaten, abuse, extort men and women at will. Still Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home minister want to rely on such terrorist police who kill hundreds of innocent people every year. A large number of men are murdered by police when the men had matrimonial problems.

CHENNAI: A 35-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by inebriated policemen after his wife sought their help in a domestic quarrel at Neelankarai late Monday. He was declared ‘brought dead’ at a hospital where he was taken after his condition worsened due to the assault.Residents of Venkatesapuram, Kottivakkam, who were witness to the midnight terror unleashed by Neelankarai sub-inspector Gunasekhar and three constables, told Express that the victim, N Ramesh, who worked as a cashier in a petrol station at Ullagaram, and his wife Usharani had been quarrelling on Monday night.

The couple had been married for 12 years and had two children. Ramesh was living with his sister for the last one month and had come to his house at Venkatesapuram to collect his motorbike and papers. Around 12.30 am, Usharani called the police on 108 and complained of assault and a patrol party, comprising Gunasekhar and three constables, all reportedly drunk, arrived at the house. “There was no attempt to hold an enquiry at all,” his brothers M Anbu and N Loganathan said. SI Gunasekhar ordered the constables to hold Ramesh’s hands and beat him so mercilessly that the cane broke, they said. Ramesh was then made to lie across his motorbike and another round of thrashing followed. Ramesh, who was unable to walk, was dragged into the patrol van and taken to Neelankarai police station.However, before leaving for the police station Gunasekar demanded and got Rs 200 as fuel money, sources said.  Anbu said that at the station, Ramesh was again severely beaten. Finally, the torment stopped and the SI told Ramesh’s family members to bring him to the police station the next day at 7 am. A battered and bruised Ramesh was being brought out, when he passed urine and stool and collapsed on the steps. The police first took him to a local clinic and later to Malar Hospital, Adyar, where he was declared ‘brought dead’.The residents, who had gathered at Royapettah hospital, where the body was brought for post-mortem, alleged that the police were trying to whitewash a custodial death case and demanded the immediate suspension of the SI and constables. Revenue Divisional Officer, Chengalpattu, Padmaja Devi, and Tambaram tahsildar Govindasamy conducted an enquiry.
