Moral Corruption

Societies can degrade themselves with moral corruption. People stop following any principles or values and then they indulge in all kinds of unscrupulous economic and sexual activities. Such a culture destroys itself from inside. It does not need any external enemies.

Now, lets come to men’s rights movement. It is a big myth that male victims, who have gone through a lot of domestic violence and other sufferings can never be unscrupulous, evil or suffer moral corruption. It is a myth that these people can never never degrade or harm other innocents.

SIFF completed 17 years by January 2022. In all these years, founders and senior activists of SIFF have seen a lot of moral corruption in Men’s Movement and even inside SIFF. So, instead of strengthening the men’s movement, many male victims ended up doing exactly the opposite. They went on to harm and destroy the men’s movement.

With the advent of sophisticated social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, with moral corruption and self harm got accelerated. A small bunch of arrogant and overconfident male victim turned activists can easily create and amplify a lot of nuisance by misusing powerful social media platforms.

While an opportunist male victim’s greed for power and money are some of the causes for moral corruption, the real reason for spread of moral corruption is lack of sense of responsibility of most male victims, who also suffer from a very deep sense of entitlement. They take the men’s rights platforms and organizations for granted and they disrespect these platforms and show no gratitude at all.

Every male victim of domestic violence or fake cases must stay away from moral corruption and start living a principled life. Only that will enable the men’s movement to get stronger and achieve all its objectives.

Different types of Moral Corruption in Men’s Movement:

  1. Since inception of SIFF in 2005, its members are often seen arguing over trivial issues. It starts as a debate and soon it degenerates into personal attacks on each other. Most men have not developed the skills to have a discussion or argument, which does not automatically lead to personal attacks. If there is enough provocation, most men will not hesitate making personal attacks. Some men will even make a personal attack on others like, “You have a big ego,” while they themselves have zero capabilities to subdue their own egos.
  2. Male victims bring their own negativities into the men’s movement. Some of them fight with others because they could not fight with their own wife. So, they keep on searching enemies inside the men’s movement and keep making personal attacks on them.
  3. One of the most prevalent forms of moral corruption is lack of loyalty inside any men’s organisations. The members who immensely benefit from these organisations show no real loyalty towards the organisation. If they have to choose between a fellow MRA friend and the men’s organisation, they will put their friendship at a much higher pedestal than the organisation. So, any unscrupulous element inside the organisation can create a lot of good friendships and then use these friends to undermine, harm or destroy the organisation.
  4. Lack of Gratitude: Almost all male victims inside a men’s organisation suffer from lack of gratitude of one kind or other. For example, how many male victims feel grateful for all the important work done to save men, before they joined any men’s organisation? Almost none.
    1. Imprisonment of men and their parents under section 498a was stopped by Men’s Organisations. How many male victims of today feel grateful for this work and sacrifices of those who fought in these battles? Almost none. It is like a person showing no gratitude towards India’s freedom fighters or the soldiers who fought battles against China in 1962 war.
    2. Male victims do not count past victories and do not feel grateful for what they have got an a platter. They take past victories for granted and then it becomes very easy for them to lose patience and complain about current battles. This has a demoralizing effect. All battles against the system are tough and they take time. No battle is won in just 6 to 8 months. When a person shows gratitude for past victories, then that positivity helps in current and future battles.
    3. Even parents of male victims show no gratitude for the fact that they were saved from prisons by men’s organisations, which fought tough battles for many years. It has to be noted that most of these parents were either supporter or silent spectators, when all the anti-male laws were discussed in media and passed in the parliament. Many of the parents of victims expect men’s organisations to help them with zero gratitude towards them.
    4. Lack of gratitude in all these cases comes from narrow minded thinking of human beings.
    5. The negativity resulting from lack of gratitude also stops many male victims from doing activism or volunteering for the cause or the organisation. If someone has no gratitude towards the soldiers who laid their life for safety of the country, then that person will never volunteer in any activity or donate during a war.
    6. False propaganda of unscrupulous elements also leads to a lack of gratitude. Some of the opportunist male victims often start a propaganda about what all victories not won in last 15-20 years, while conveniently avoiding what all victories are won. These “Glass is half empty” propaganda of these selfish opportunist is very convincing for most male victims. So, male victims easily lose whatever gratitude they have. The selfish opportunists have a simple agenda: To destroy credibility of existing men’s organisations, so that people can easily fall for their false promises of big legal victories in personal cases and public interest litigations etc.
    7. The other false propaganda that creates negativity is around the notion of lack of unity inside men’s movement. Unity and harmony is possible only when highest levels of principles and discipline are followed. One can not do unity with lawyers wanting to do big business, dalaals doing settlements or people who weaken or sell the movement to feminists by supporting feminists half of the time. Most male victims easily fall into the propaganda and false promises of these vested interests, as they are obsessed with quick results.
