Bollywood Hypocrisy: Defaming Righteous Husband and glorifying Adulterous Relations

Movies affect our psyche more than any other medium. Our social values can be preserved if we put right example before the audience. Sometimes movies sympathies and glorify a wrong-doer and vilify the righteous one. I shall prove this by citing the 2018 movie BAAGHI 2 starring Tiger Shroff.
In BAAGHI 2, a caring and loving husband is shown as villain and a rogue who impregnates and fathers a child from a lawfully married wife of someone else is shown as hero. After knowing that his daughter is not his blood since he is impotent the father wants to separate from the baby. The boyfriend of the wife came to her rescue. But a person who illegitimately fathers a baby of a married woman should not be projected as hero. Where is poetic Justice ? And a husband who reacts to the wife’s wrongdoing is shown as villain.
In India we have great respect for arranged marriages. Here husband plays leadership role. If a movie tries to break Indian family and glorify illegitimate affairs then we shall be equal to the west. I believe the censor board can play a big role while scrutinizing the scripts so as to set righteous examples. The CBFC should do its part in preserving the great Indian value system.

Music albums are no less harmful to the marriage and contribute to projecting adulterous wives as innocent ones. The loser husband who upholds moral value and does not have physical relation with his lawfully married wife is shown as messiah of love. I refer to the famous album “Dil Chahte Ho” released by T Series where denial and dejection by the husband is shown as platonic love. How mean these producers can be who play with the emotion of the mass and misguide a generation. With all negative emotions and adultery on the part of wife or cheating during marriage is shown as new normal. Unmarried girls take inspiration from such movies and videos and never think twice before entering into a relationship before marriage. Indirectly they give rise to playboys who have affairs with multiple girls without considering the fact that one day these girls are going to have arranged marriages. The prestige of families is on stake once they bring a bride for their successful son dreaming a happy life.

We as society should discourage such film and videos who show husbands in poor light. The millennials see love affairs/marriage as normal and arranged marriage as obnoxious or side-effect of orthodoxy. The agonizing predicament a married man undergoes is never heard by his own family forget the in laws. A biased judiciary and corrupt policing helps the adulterous girls garner upper hand at the cost of husband and his family.
